PDS™ Plus Antibacterial Violet Monofilament Surgical Suture, Size 6-0, 30", with a C-1 double-armed needle, is a synthetic absorbable suture composed of polydioxanone and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan (Irgacare® MP). The monofilament structure ensures minimal tissue drag, reduced inflammatory response, and smooth passage through delicate tissue, making it ideal for precise surgical applications.

The suture maintains high tensile strength during the critical healing period, retaining approximately 80% of its original strength at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks, and 60% at 6 weeks. This strength profile supports prolonged wound healing and is particularly effective in areas requiring extended tissue approximation and support.

Enhanced with antibacterial properties, PDS™ Plus sutures inhibit bacterial colonization on the suture surface, lowering the risk of surgical site infections.
